Myntro is in the middle of a transformation, shifting toward a more product- and technology-driven, data-enabled business. Now we are looking for a technically grounded Technology Security Lead who can work directly with architects, developers, and operations teams to turn security and regulatory requirements into controls that work in practice. If you enjoy moving between technical detail, structured execution, and taking changes all the way from requirement to implementation and evidence - then keep reading!
About The Role
As Technology Security Lead at Myntro, you will be the hands-on first-line security lead within Technology & Product. You will lead the operational implementation and follow-up of technology security controls, working closely with engineering teams while partnering with the CISO and Risk & Compliance, who set requirements and provide second-line oversight.
The role combines technical security implementation with structured ISMS execution. You will translate ISO 27001, DORA, risk, and policy requirements into technical designs, engineering backlog, operating procedures, control evidence, and measurable follow-up across our product and technology landscape.
You do not need to be the primary engineer for every change, and you will not replace accountable system or process owners. You must, however, be able to understand systems and architecture, challenge proposed solutions, define practical control implementations, contribute directly where appropriate, and drive accountable owners through to completion.
In this role, you will:
Lead and drive first-line implementation and continuous improvement of technology security and ICT controls within the ISMS.
Translate policies and regulatory requirements into practical technical control designs and improvements.
Work directly with development, architecture, platform and operations teams to embed security into technology and delivery processes.
Build repeatable control execution and evidence collection, using automation and existing engineering tools, and prepare Technology & Product for audits and internal control reviews.
Support incident follow-up, continuity and resilience activities.
Coordinate technology-related audit, supplier security and outsourcing activities.
Provide status, evidence and security insights to the CTPO, CISO and Risk & Compliance.
We are looking for someone who is pragmatic, structured, and motivated by making security work in practice. You bring sound judgment, turn ambiguity into clear priorities, and balance risk, delivery, and business needs without losing sight of the outcome.
You take ownership and follow things through. You communicate clearly, ask precise questions, and challenge constructively. You build trust across teams, create alignment without unnecessary bureaucracy, and know when to act independently, seek input, or escalate.
We see that you likely have:
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Several years of hands-on experience in software engineering, platform or cloud engineering, IT operations, security engineering, or a similar technical role.
A strong technical understanding of systems, architecture, infrastructure, development processes, and the ability to go into technical detail with engineers and other specialists.
Experience implementing and operating security controls in a technology environment, not only writing policies, coordinating activities, or collecting evidence.
Working knowledge of ISO 27001 and practical experience connecting an ISMS to engineering and operational processes. Experience with DORA, ICT risk, incident management, or continuity and resilience is considered an advantage.
Strong communication skills in Swedish and English.
Experience from financial services, regulated critical services, or another complex technology environment is a plus, but not a requirement.
At Myntro, you’ll have the opportunity to shape how security is built into a company going through technological change. We are strengthening our technology foundation, modernizing our ways of working, and building the capabilities needed for the future.
Our culture is built on care, accountability, and the belief that the best results come from working together. Collaboration, customer focus, personal accountability, and simplicity are how we actually make decisions, not just words on a wall.
Sounds like your next challenge? We review applications and interview on a rolling basis, so don't wait too long to apply. The role is full-time and based at our head office in central Gothenburg.
