Ready to shape the digital future of Tax & Legal services?
We are looking for two experienced Business Technology Leads to join our Tax & Legal Technology team in Sweden. In this senior role (Senior Manager or Manager, depending on experience), you will bridge our Tax & Legal Service lines, with tax and legal consultants, and the Technology team, shaping how digital solutions are leveraged to improve efficiency, quality, and client delivery.
While we are primarily looking for a Senior Manager or Manager, we also encourage strong Senior Associate candidates in earlier stages of their career with relevant experience (3+ years), and a clear interest in business-led technology transformation to apply. The scope and responsibilities of the role will remain the same, with a tailored level of support, guidance, and coaching provided by a more senior colleague to enable a successful transition into the role.
Tax & Legal Technology is part of Tax Transformation, with focus on supporting internal transformation and Service Lines, while collaborating with stakeholders in client-related contexts.
This is an opportunity to join a team, where each role has high visibility and meaningful impact on how we define, scale, and realize digital transformation.
About the role
As a Business Technology Lead, you are the link between multiple Tax & Legal service lines and our Tax & Legal internal technology capabilities. You will translate business needs into scalable tech initiatives, shape multi-year digital roadmaps, and ensure that technology investments align with both service line strategies and the firm’s centralized IT architecture. This role is all about driving digital transformation in Tax & Legal and to proactively help service lines work smarter, more efficiently, and deliver enhanced outcomes for clients.
What you will do
Strategic Partnering: Work closely with Tax & Legal Service Lines (across two or more lines) to understand their goals, pain points, and opportunities. Act as a trusted tech advisor, ensuring each line’s priorities are enabled by the right technology. Proactively structure, prioritize, and manage demand across stakeholders.
Shape & Own Digital Roadmaps: Develop and maintain multi-year digital transformation roadmaps for each supported service line. Prioritize initiatives by business impact and feasibility, aligning them with both Swedish, Nordic, and Global strategic priorities.
Process & Value Optimization: Identify inefficiencies, risk gaps, and automation opportunities. Drive structured process improvements supported by technology. Ensure strong integration of governance, risk, and compliance.
Demand Shaping & Solution Design: Gather and structure business and non-functional requirements from the service lines and translate these into technical solutions in collaboration with architects and delivery teams. Ensure proposed solutions are fit-for-purpose, scalable, and reusable across multiple service lines (avoiding one-off silos).
Architecture Alignment: Recommend technology solutions that fit our approved tech stack and architecture principles. You will promote standardization and reuse of tools, guiding service lines to leverage existing platforms or proven solutions before considering custom builds.
Value Delivery & Adoption: Oversee the implementation rollout in partnership with project teams, and drive user adoption within the business. Make sure each solution delivers measurable business value (e.g., efficiency gains, cost savings, improved compliance) and track those benefits.
Nordic Collaboration: Coordinate with Tax & Legal Tech colleagues across the Nordics to share best practices and scale successful solutions regionally. You will be a key player in ensuring our Swedish Tax & Legal tech agenda relates to Nordic initiatives.

Skills & Requirements
Solid experience in a technology/business interface role – for example 5-7+ years as an IT Business Partner, Digital Transformation Lead, Digital Business Analyst or similar preferably from consulting firms or multinational organizations. Experience in professional services and finance-related processes or Tax & Legal domain is a strong plus.
Strategic mindset and strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to see the “big picture” and translate complex business needs into a clear technology strategy and actionable initiatives. You bring an exceptional ability to quickly understand a business context, identify key processes, understand pain points, and value drivers, and translate business needs into well-defined, best-fit technology solutions. You have a proven ability to develop business cases and drive prioritization.
Strong stakeholder management skills – comfortable collaborating with senior business leaders and technical teams. You are effective at building trust and can influence decisions at executive level.
Proven track record of delivering digital solutions or transformation projects that have improved business outcomes. You have a proven ability to build digital roadmaps and manage demand pipelines and experience with test management and quality assurance.
Fluency in technology topics, with an understanding of enterprise IT architecture, software delivery processes, and familiarity with common platforms within Finance, including Data & Analytics tools, Automation platforms, AI and GenAI tools, and configurable platforms. You do not need to code, but you can converse with developers and architects credibly.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills – able to facilitate and run workshops, write clear requirements, and present roadmaps or business cases, and the ability to make informed decisions on buy vs build vs configure.
Adaptability and multi-tasking ability – you will be balancing priorities across different service lines, so strong organizational skills are a must.
Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Tax, Law, or related field.
Professional certifications such as ECBA, CCBA, CBAP, PMI-PBA, and IIBA-CBDA are an advantage and additional certifications in project management, solution architecture, or similar are a plus.
Fluency in English is required and a strong proficiency in Swedish is preferred.
Success in the role
You will succeed as a Business Technology Lead when you consistently deliver aligned, high-impact tech initiatives for our Tax & Legal practices. In 12-18 months, success means that each supported service line has a clear digital roadmap in motion, key projects delivered or underway with tangible efficiency gains, and positive feedback from service line leaders on the value of technology partnership. You will be seen as the go-to person bridging Tax & Legal needs with tech solutions, and you will have fostered a culture of collaboration and innovation across business and the Technology team.
Location & ways of working
This role is based in Stockholm, Sweden, working in a Nordic collaboration model. Other locations in Sweden may be considered for the right candidate. We offer a hybrid work environment – while you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders in Sweden and occasionally across Nordic countries (some travel may be needed for key meetings or workshops), we support flexible work arrangements. You will be part of a diverse, tech-savvy Tax Transformation unit, with a supportive culture that encourages innovation and knowledge-sharing across borders.
We are looking for candidates based in Sweden who hold a valid work permit.
