Role Overview
The Data Author is responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining high-quality technical content that supports our global product portfolio. This role focuses on producing accurate, structured, and market-relevant technical information, including specifications, product data, and digital construction content aligned with international standards.
Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, excellent technical communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple regions and stakeholders. The Data Author ensures all content is consistent, technically accurate, and optimised for digital platforms—enabling customers to make informed decisions across global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Author and maintain high-quality technical content for global building product specifications and structured data models
- Develop new product content using manufacturer documentation, technical literature, and international standards
- Create and manage links to global certification schemes and third-party accreditations
- Ensure all content meets internal style guides, quality standards, and global consistency requirements
- Update product data based on manufacturer requests, ensuring accuracy and alignment
- Maintain content in line with Hubexo style and quality standards
- Proofread and moderate manufacturer-submitted data and supporting documents
- Classify products according to global classification systems
- Upload BIM-related and structured product information into NBS platforms
- Manage shared mailboxes and respond to customer queries
- Support the sales team with technical queries
- Publish and archive content within Hubexo systems
- Write clear, concise product descriptions with SEO best practices
- Review and support quality assurance (QA) processes for product content
- Collaborate with Technical Data Authors and the wider Commercial team to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery processes
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Strong written communication skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to interpret technical product information and summarise clearly
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Proficiency with digital tools and platforms
- Strong research skills with the ability to present findings concisely
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining high-quality standards
- Interest in structured data or digital product information
- Experience with technical writing or editing
- Knowledge of building products or the construction industry
- Fluency in one or more Nordic languages (Danish or Finnish preferably)
Desirable
- Understanding of BIM (Building Information Modelling) or digital product data
- Familiarity with SEO principles
- Experience working with global clients or international markets
