For one of our clients, we are looking for an experienced Legal & Compliance Counsel. This is an interim assignment starting on 1 October 2026, for approximately 3–6 months, based in Stockholm.
Lead and support a small team and provide strategic, business-oriented legal advice to the Nordic business.
Advise commercial and product teams on contracts, negotiations and key legal matters.
Support and drive compliance in areas such as data privacy, digital regulation, competition law and anti-corruption.
Support investigations, employment-related matters, crisis management and M&A where relevant.
Collaborate with divisional Legal, Compliance and Data Protection teams and key stakeholders across the business.
Swedish law degree with solid relevant post-qualification experience.
Experience from an in-house Legal Counsel role and/or a reputable law firm.
Strong experience in commercial contracts, negotiations and general business law.
Good understanding of compliance, preferably including data privacy and/or digital regulation.
Exposure to areas such as competition/antitrust, trade compliance, anti-corruption or employment law is an advantage, but not essential.
Experience from a technology, digital, manufacturing or other complex commercial environment is preferred but not required.
Experience leading or coordinating others is an advantage.
Fluent in Swedish and English.
Commercial, pragmatic and solutions-oriented, with sound judgement and integrity.
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Structured, proactive and comfortable operating in a fast-paced and international environment.
Able to quickly understand complex business matters and translate legal requirements into practical solutions.
A senior and commercially minded legal professional with strong commercial law and contract expertise, combined with a solid understanding of compliance and the ability to act as a trusted business partner. The ideal candidate brings sound judgement, strong communication skills and the confidence to take ownership of complex legal matters in a consulting environment.
