VCC Fieldglass ID 1959 - Data Analyst
As a Data Analyst, the role will focus on collecting, structuring, and analysing process and cost data to uncover inefficiencies, cost drivers, and improvement opportunities. This includes developing data-driven insights and recommendations related to processes, tools, and organizational setup. The role stretches across the entire Test Object Process, from early planning through ordering, material procurement, assembly, and operational usage.
The role requiring close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data availability, insight generation, and successful execution of optimization initiatives.
As our first Data Analyst within the department, you have a unique opportunity to lay the foundation for a more data-driven organization. You will not only analyze data but also lead the work of establishing structures, ways of working, and tools that enable data-driven decision-making across the business.
By identifying insights, visualizing key metrics, and collaborating closely with different parts of the organization, you will contribute to increased transparency, improved decision-making, and continuous improvement. The role also involves inspiring and educating colleagues on how to use data as a strategic asset, while gradually building a culture where facts and analysis are a natural part of everyday work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
3. Lead and participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
4. Create detailed documentation including user stories, process flows, and technical specifications.
5. Work closely with developers and qa teams to ensure successful implementation and testing of solutions.
6. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior business analysts and team members.
7. Continuously improve processes and methodologies to enhance productivity and delivery efficiency.

Business Requirements Identification
Support collection of business requirements using document analysis and workflow analysis to express requirements clearly and succinctly.
Data Exploration
Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting that data into standard formats.
Data and Analytics Strategy
Make recommendations to improve data and analytics systems and platforms, contributing to the continuous improvement and refinement of data and analytics strategy.
Advanced and Predictive Analytics
Support interpretation of advanced and predictive analytics data, using specialized software tools and functionalities. Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau together with Analytics tools such as Python and Spark.
Performance Improvement through Business Intelligence
Support creation of machine learning algorithms by applying standard statistical analysis or data preparation methods.
