We are currently looking for skilled Engineers focused on CIAM (Customer Identity and Access Management) to join our internal cloud platform team at Jeppesen ForeFlight. In this role, you will own and operate customer identity and access management capabilities, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable authentication and authorization services for external users and connect to customer identity providers.
The team delivers a CIAM solution that is managed via infrastructure as code. We also provide observability for other teams to understand the status of the service. Our customers are airlines across the world running mission critical systems. Customer communication is part of the role and we operate in a B2B environment.
The team maintains, or works close with others who are specialized expertise in CIAM, Auth0 integration, advanced networking solutions (NLB, ALB), Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, , ArgoCD implementation, Istio service mesh architecture, and Elastic Container Registry management. We collaborate strategically with other platform teams when it comes to for example Terraform module, SRE team, CloudOps team to enhance and align our offerings.
Position responsibilities
- Maintain CIAM platforms and services
- Manage customer authentication, registration and profile flows
- Integrate identity providers, social login, SSO, and federation to customer Identity Providers (IdP)
- Monitor identity-related events, security alerts, and operational health (including maintaining relevant Grafana dashboards)
- Troubleshoot and resolve CIAM issues across applications and infrastructure. Ability to be on standby schedule from time to time
- Partner with security, engineering, product, and customer-facing teams
- GitOps and automate CIAM deployments and configuration through infrastructure as code
- Build and maintain reusable Terraform modules for CIAM platform provisioning and configuration
- Support CIAM CI/CD pipelines and operational automation
- Enforce privacy, security, and regulatory requirements
Required Skills
- DevOps experience, including:
- CI/CD
- Automation
- Git
- IaC such as Terraform
- Security related skills, including networking
- Familiarity with secrets management, logging, observability, and incident response
- Understanding of secure software delivery and infrastructure operations
- Experience integrating APIs, web apps, and backend services with identity systems
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CIAM platforms such as Okta Customer Identity, Auth0, Entra ID, Ping, or ForgeRock
- Strong understanding of authentication and federation standards in Auth0 such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, API Security and SAML2. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with agile product development and cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of privacy regulations and security frameworks
- Scripting/automation experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell
