Saab is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and develop critical In Service Support engagements within our Aftermarket portfolio.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of support services that sustain and enhance operational availability for advanced defense systems. You will manage customer relationships, coordinate cross-functional teams, oversee contract execution, and drive continuous improvement throughout the support lifecycle.

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery and development of contracted support services. Your responsibilities will include:

Contract Delivery Management: Lead the execution of contracted support services, including the coordination of Field Service Representatives (FSRs), spare parts, special tools and test equipment (STTE), consumables, repairs, and other support elements.

Technical Support & Helpdesk Coordination: Manage service desk activities and coordinate with technical specialists and subject matter experts to ensure timely and effective support to customers.

Obsolescence & Repair Management: Drive obsolescence planning and lifecycle management activities, including repair services, replacement strategies, and customer communication related to product sustainability.

Additional Support Services: Coordinate customer-requested services such as training, on-site specialist support, technical investigations, and other service-related activities.

Performance Management: Establish, monitor, and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure contractual compliance, customer satisfaction, and high system availability.

Documentation & Configuration Management: Ensure that technical documentation, configuration information, and service records are maintained in accordance with contractual and operational requirements.

Compliance & Security: Ensure adherence to applicable security regulations, export control requirements, confidentiality obligations, and company policies.
We are looking for a confident and collaborative project manager who is comfortable operating in complex stakeholder environments and who takes ownership of both customer relationships and business outcomes.
You have:

Proven experience as a Project Manager within the defense industry, preferably in aftermarket support, sustainment, logistics, or service delivery environments.

Strong understanding of commercial and contractual obligations, including warranties, service level commitments, performance guarantees, and risk management.

Experience working with service-focused business models and outcome-based support concepts.

Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with customers, partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Strong planning, communication, and coordination capabilities.

A structured and proactive way of working, with a focus on delivering results.
Preferably, you also have:

Experience leading cross-functional teams in an international environment.

Understanding of integrated logistics support, maintenance, repair, and sustainment activities.

Experience working with project management and service management tools.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Additional language skills are considered an advantage.
