Bring your life
Want to join a team developing premium products that make it easy to bring along the things you care for - easily, securely, and in style - while living an active life?
Are you a people-oriented leader with a strong technical background in product testing? Do you thrive in a collaborative, sustainability-driven environment where you can support both people and products in reaching their full potential? Then this might be the right position for you!
What you'll do at Thule
As Team Manager Testing, you will lead and develop a team of skilled Test Engineers within our product testing organization. You are responsible for testing activities within assigned product categories, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, performance, and compliance throughout the development process.
Your primary focus is to support, coach, and develop your team while creating the right conditions for success. You will drive resource planning, competence development, and ensure the team has the capabilities, tools, and support needed to deliver high-quality testing and analysis. While the role is primarily focused on leadership, it also includes a degree of hands-on operational testing and involvement in test activities.
Working closely with other Team Managers, Engineering teams, Project Managers, and Compliance specialists, you will secure effective collaboration across projects and product categories. Together with your team, you will contribute to the development of test methods, equipment, and capabilities that help Thule remain at the forefront of product quality and innovation.
You will also ensure that test equipment and facilities remain safe, functional, and fit for purpose, support the development of internal testing standards and methods, and coordinate external testing activities with third-party partners.
Through your leadership and technical involvement, you will play a key role in developing both people and processes while contributing to the successful delivery of world-class products that enable an active life.
What you bring
To be successful in this role, we believe you hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical field, combined with several years of experience within product development, product testing, or a related engineering discipline.
You have a strong technical foundation and a broad understanding of testing methods, product verification, and development processes. Experience from product testing organizations, laboratory environments, or mechanical product development is highly valued.
You are either an experienced people leader or have demonstrated strong leadership potential through leading projects, teams, or technical initiatives. Most importantly, you have a genuine interest in supporting and developing others while creating engagement, accountability, and collaboration within your team.
As a person, you are structured, communicative, and solution-oriented. You enjoy balancing strategic planning with operational involvement and are comfortable making decisions in a dynamic environment. You build strong relationships across functions and thrive in collaborative settings where teamwork and continuous improvement are key to success.
You communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken. Experience working with resource planning, compliance requirements, test method development, CAD or PLM systems is considered an advantage.
Why you should join Thule
At Thule, we believe in strong teamwork both within your own team but also cross-functional between teams. We strive to be an open and curious organization, sharing our knowledge and inspiring one another.
Within Thule you will find people who have a passion for the products we make and the outdoor company we are. We share the same values, and we like to have fun. All of our employees have a joint responsibility to maintain that spirit and contribute to it.
