Business Solution Architect – Planning Systems & Capabilities, Lund
We are looking for an analytical Business Solution Architect to join our team! As our Business Solution Architect, you’ll play a key role in connecting business needs with impactful system solutions—driving transformation across our global Operations. In this role, you’ll balance strategic thinking with hands-on analysis to secure long-term value and operational excellence.
This is a temporary position for 12 months, through August 2027.
Who is your future team?
Based at our Lund HQ, you will join the Cross Functional Projects & Systems team, a team within the Operations organization.
We drive impactful change by managing cross-functional initiatives, overseeing the Operations project portfolio, and ensuring strong business system product ownership and solution architecture.
The team is part of Operations Development, a diverse group of specialists with expertise in Supply Chain & Operations Management, Digital Transformation, Project Management, Innovation, Contract Management, and Analytics. Together, our work strengthens Operations in delivering on its mission and long-term strategy while contributing directly to Axis' global efficiency and success.
What you'll do as a Business Solution Architect?
We are looking for a Business Solution Architect to join our Planning Systems area on a 12-month parental leave replacement.
Your primary focus will be planning systems and planning capabilities across Operations, with Maestro (Kinaxis) being the main platform in scope. You will support the development of Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and adjacent planning capabilities by ensuring business processes, data, integrations, and system functionality evolve in line with business needs and future strategy.
You will work in close partnership with the Business Process Owner (BPO), IT Product Owner (ITPO), planning leaders and business users. You will also collaborate with IT teams, system vendors, implementation partners, and consultants to translate business capability needs into solution designs, system enhancements, and implementation roadmaps.
This role requires the ability to move comfortably between strategic discussions around future planning capabilities and detailed analysis of data models, configurations, integrations, and system functionality. Success in the role requires strong collaboration across business, IT, and external partners while balancing operational needs, strategic objectives, and technical possibilities.
You will contribute both to ongoing product development and to larger transformation initiatives where planning processes and systems play a central role.
Your main responsibilities include:
Planning Systems & Solution Architecture
-
Act as a key Business Solution Architect for Maestro (Kinaxis), supporting the development of planning capabilities across Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and adjacent processes.
-
Translate business needs into clear requirements, solution concepts, process flows, and functional designs.
-
Evaluate business requirements, system capabilities, data models, configurations, and integrations to identify solution alternatives and recommend scalable, sustainable solutions.
-
Design and document solution concepts, process flows, integration mappings, and requirements that align with our overall system landscape and long-term strategy.
-
Collaborate closely with business users, planning leadership, BPOs, ITPOs, IT teams, vendors, and implementation partners to evaluate solution alternatives, align priorities, and ensure successful delivery and adoption.
End-to-End Planning Capability Development
-
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of end-to-end planning processes, including Forecast-to-Plan, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, and adjacent supply chain capabilities.
-
Ensure planning solutions support business objectives while remaining aligned with ERP, supplier collaboration, manufacturing, procurement, and other connected functions and systems.
-
Evaluate impacts, dependencies, and trade-offs across processes, systems, data, and organizational boundaries.
-
Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across Operations, helping translate business challenges and future capability needs into scalable process and system solutions.
Transformation & Continuous Improvement
-
Contribute to planning system roadmaps and continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities that create measurable business value.
-
Support implementation, testing, validation, training, and business adoption of new capabilities and enhancements.
-
Contribute as a key resource in transformation projects, system implementations, and capability development initiatives across Operations.
-
Contribute to the development of our team and our overall planning systems and solution architecture capabilities.
Who are we looking for?
You are analytical, curious, and structured, with a genuine interest in understanding both business processes and system capabilities. You enjoy solving complex problems and are equally comfortable discussing future business needs with senior stakeholders as deep-diving into data, integrations, configurations, and functional system behavior.
You thrive at the intersection of Operations, Supply Chain, and IT, and understand that successful business solutions require a combination of process knowledge, technology understanding, and stakeholder collaboration. You are self-driven, collaborative, and able to create clarity in complex environments while maintaining a long-term perspective.
We expect you to have:
-
A relevant university degree (minimum B.Sc.) or equivalent experience.
-
At least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Planning Systems, Solution Architecture, Product Ownership, or Business Systems Development.
-
Experience translating business capability needs into solution designs and implemented improvements.
-
Strong understanding of business processes, system integrations, and data flows.
-
Experience working in or closely with Supply Chain and Operations in a global environment.
-
Experience collaborating across business stakeholders, IT organizations, and external partners.
-
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
Advantageous:
-
Experience with Kinaxis Maestro / RapidResponse.
-
Experience with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP, S&OE, or Integrated Business Planning processes.
-
Experience with ERP systems and their interaction with planning platforms.
-
Experience working within a Business Process Owner (BPO) or Product Ownership governance model.
-
Experience with planning platform implementations, transformation initiatives, or major enhancement programs.
-
Experience with agile delivery, backlog management, roadmap planning, or product development methodologies.
