About the Role:
We are looking for a senior consultant to support development and implementation of Software Update Management System (SUMS) processes within a global automotive organization.
The assignment focuses on defining and improving processes to ensure compliance with software update regulations and standards (e.g. UNECE R156, ISO 24089), and to support the full vehicle lifecycle.
Assignment Description:
You will work close to engineering, compliance, and governance teams to:
Define and maintain SUMS processes across the product lifecycle Translate regulatory requirements into practical and auditable ways of working
Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations Support projects and teams in implementing SUMS processes
Define roles, KPIs, governance, and process interfaces Support audits, reviews, and corrective actions
Drive continuous improvements based on findings and new requirements
Required Competence:
Experience in process development, system engineering, or automotive software
Understanding of regulated product development Ability to translate requirements into clear processes
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Analytical mindset and ability to handle complex topics
Ability to work independently and take ownership
Meritorious:
Knowledge of UNECE R156, ISO 24089 or similar Experience with SUMS, CSMS, or regulatory compliance
Understanding of embedded software, OTA updates, or ECU systems
Experience with audits or quality management systems
Experience from automotive or similar regulated industry
