Position Overview
In this standalone regional role, you will act as a trusted advisor to leaders in Sweden and the UK (190 employees) across the entire employee lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with Managers to drive the people agenda to support business priorities. You will work closely with a small, enthusiastic global HR team.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership Advisory & Culture: Coach and support line managers on team dynamics, talent pipelines, succession planning, and conflict resolution. Support Managers in maintaining a balanced work environment, psychological safety, and team engagement.
- Talent & Performance Management: Lead the end-to-end recruitment process (sourcing via LinkedIn/headhunters), design local onboarding, and manage performance cycles (goalsetting, feedback, rewards).
- Labor Relations & Compliance: Manage local union collaborations and end-to-end negotiations under the Nordic framework. Ensure absolute compliance with Swedish working environment acts (Arbetsmiljölagen / AML), LAS, MBL, Collective Bargaining Agreements (Kollektivavtal), and GDPR.
- HR Operations & Benefits: Be aware of and back-up local payroll preparation and administration when required. Partner with the pension broker and manage local pension schemes, health insurance, and company benefits while analyzing provider data to optimize future offerings.
- Change Management & Global Projects: Guide leaders through organizational changes, scaling operations, or potential M&A initiatives. Contribute to and implement global HR initiatives and cross-border projects.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyzing HR analytics, employee engagement figures, and trend data to proactively propose improvements that boost productivity and business results.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources (Personalvetarprogrammet), Labor Law, Business Administration, or equivalent field.
- Experience: 10+ years of HR experience as an HRBP, ideally within a medium-sized company (200–500 employees) in Sweden.
- Labor Law Expertise: Deep operational mastery of Swedish labor laws (LAS, MBL, AML) and Collective Bargaining Agreements.
- Languages: Full professional fluency in both English (corporate language) and Swedish. Interviews will be conducted in both English and Swedish.
- Travel: Ability to travel quarterly to offices in Gothenburg and Malmö, and occasionally to other regional Swedish offices.
