Ignite began because the system wasn’t working the way it should have.
Before Ignite, there was Alice, born with cerebral palsy, in a system where families had to fight hard just to access support. Through her, her uncle, and Ignite’s founder David saw the gaps clearly: people falling through them, and clinicians stretched trying to fill them.
So after studying physiotherapy and working in the field for several years, in, 2018, he built something different.
Today, Ignite is a clinician-led, community-based allied health provider working across Melbourne. Our work happens in real-world settings – homes, schools, communities, and hubs, grounded in practical, person-centred care.
We’re values-driven and intentional about how we work and grow, creating space for clinicians to do their best work, without losing sight of the people it’s for.
Ignite started to support people like Alice. That purpose still guides us.
