Description
This role is critical to safeguarding programme delivery, ensuring that security risks are identified, controlled, and resolved before they impact system integrity, availability, compliance, or operational acceptance.
In this role, you will act as the programme security authority for SSC’s IRIS² scope, owning and leading the overall security management approach across a complex, multi-partner ground segment environment.
You will:

Ensure that security requirements, controls, and governance are consistently implemented across engineering, operations, suppliers, and programme delivery.
-
Operate with end-to-end security authority within programme governance, including the authority to escalate, require corrective actions, and prevent progression where security risks or compliance gaps are not adequately addressed.
-
Balance delivery objectives with strict security and compliance requirements in a highly regulated environment, ensuring pragmatism without compromising integrity.
-
Operate at programme leadership level, engaging senior stakeholders across SSC, partners, and customer organisations.
This role is for you if you:
-
Have led security management in complex technical or infrastructure programmes
-
Are comfortable operating across cybersecurity, physical security, and information security domains
-
Can drive structured risk management, compliance, and assurance in multi-stakeholder environments
-
Are confident escalating risks and influencing decisions at programme level
-
Thrive in regulated environments with strong requirements on evidence and traceability
