As Country Manager, you will lead and grow Eolus’ development operations in Sweden and play a key role in performing the company’s strategic direction. You will be responsible for leading a strong development organization, identifying and developing project opportunities, and ensuring that our portfolio in Sweden delivers strong commercial and strategic results.
The role is both strategic and hands-on. You will oversee the full project development lifecycle in Sweden including market screening, origination and development till projects are ready to build. This includes leading a continuous project and pipeline flow of strong commercial projects and technologies while ensuring alignment with Eolus’ values, long-term strategy, and financial goals.
In this role, you will
Build, lead, and develop your team in a collaborative way.
Managing the project portfolio, ensuring project development of strong commercial projects and market relevant technologies from origination to ready to build status.
Closely monitor and engage in market activities following market trends and drivers.
Be responsible for budgeting, project prioritization and financial monitoring.
Represent Eolus towards external stakeholders such as authorities, landowners, partners, and industry associations.
Ensure regulatory compliance and monitor developments in Swedish energy policy and permitting processes.
Collaborate with central functions such as technology, engineering, M&A, power markets and finance to optimize project value.
You are a results-driven and strategic leader who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment. You enjoy taking ownership and can balance long-term strategy with operational execution. You build trust through clear communication and a collaborative approach. Your business acumen, analytical strengths, and ability to create structure help you turn opportunities into profitable projects.
To succeed in this role, we believe you have
10-15 years of experience in the energy sector.
Comprehensive understanding of the renewable energy development processes in Sweden.
Strong commercial and technical understanding, experience from power markets and M&A a clear plus.
Proven experience from commercially successful projects in Sweden.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
High proficiency in English.
MSc degree in engineering, economics, or a related field.
