JAVA/HMI developer Software Developer
Stockholm
As a senior Java developer, you will work with further development and management of a Java-based HMI with a focus on Java Swing. The first version is already in place, and now the next phase awaits with continued development, new integrations and handling of bug reports. Here you step in with your experience and become an important player to ensure quality, stability and continued development over time.
You have overall responsibility for the software, from design decisions and architecture to implementation and improvement of the user interface. With a clear UX focus, you help build an interface that is intuitive, efficient, and customized to the user's needs.
The work takes place in an established Scrum team where you plan in sprints, collaborate closely and regularly showcase your work in demos. You are expected to take a senior role in the team, contribute with technical guidance, support colleagues and be a driving force in both technical discussions and long-term choices.
Your profile
You are an experienced Java developer who thrives in the expert role and is easy to familiarize yourself with complex systems. You have worked with Java Swing before and feel confident in further developing, improving and maintaining both new and existing code, even in legacy environments.
Colleagues perceive you as an obvious knowledge resource who is happy to share their experience and coach more junior developers. You combine technical acuity with a genuine interest in user-friendliness and see the value of good UX even in technically advanced systems.
We see that you have:
- Several years of experience in Java development (senior level, about 5 years or more)
Practical experience with Java Swing (not necessarily for 5 years, but in live environments)
- Ability to make informed design and architecture decisions
- A clear UX focus and interest in building user-friendly interfaces
- Ability to work independently while being a strong team player
- Experience of database programming or working in technically complex system environments is a merit.
