The position is part of a research project aimed at developing advanced 3D cell culture systems and methods for applications in cancer research.
The postdoctoral researcher will primarily work on using a recently developed 3D cell culture method based on acoustofluidics for the generation and study of complex in vitro tumor models and the tumor microenvironment.
The responsibilities include, among other things:
-
developing and applying experimental protocols for optimizing the quality and relevance of in vitro tumor models from a variety of different cell lines as well as from primary materials,
-
compare the acoustofluidic method in terms of throughput and quality with alternative and established 3D cell culture methods,
-
develop 3D microscopy-based analysis methods for the continuous monitoring of maturing 3D cell cultures at the cellular and sub-cellular scale,
-
contributing to the development of automated and scalable analysis pipelines for experimental data,
-
collaborating with researchers in biophysics, microfluidics, and cell biology,
-
documenting and communicating research findings through scientific publications and presentations,
-
contribute to grant proposals.
The postdoctoral researcher is expected to work independently and to actively contribute to the group’s collective work and interdisciplinary collaborations.
We offer access to advanced research infrastructure at Scilifelab, Solna
