What You’ll Do
Gyptech is seeking an Control Systems Engineer (Automationsingenjör) to join our Electrical Engineering & Controls team. In this role, you will develop and commission automation systems for industrial manufacturing equipment, ensuring high performance, reliability, and operational excellence.
Your role will involve:
- Design configure and program PLC-based control systems (Ladder, Structured Text, Function Blocks) for industrial equipment
- Develop HMI/SCADA solutions for automated production environment
- Support electrical drive systems, PLC panel design, and equipment documentation (e.g. equipment motor and device list)
- Understanding safety risk assessments and design
- Design and support industrial network and data collection systems
Participate in international commissioning, installation and trouble shooting
This position is based out of our office in Växjö, Sweden with a requirement to travel internationally on a consistent basis.
What You Offer
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on controls development and commissioning experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated familiarity with Rockwell Software (ControlLogix, RSLinx, FTView), Siemens (Step7 v5.5, TIA Portal, WinCC), Invensys Wonderware/Archestra, GE iFix, Ignition
- Familiarity with ethernet network concepts and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organization skills and prioritization to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Industrial robots, process controls, instrumentation, or Functional Safety experience is an asset
