Job Summary
The Product Owner will lead product strategy, roadmap ownership, and delivery execution for Content Management capabilities. The role focuses on CMS, DAM, and transformation workstreams, including headless migration and legacy CMS sunset initiatives. The Product Owner works in a cross-functional, outcome-based delivery model and ensures that product decisions are aligned to business goals, roadmap priorities, and stakeholder needs.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
Define, communicate, and evolve the product vision for Content Management platforms including Contenful CMS and Bynder DAM.
Lead headless content strategy and ensure the product direction supports future content creation, management, distribution, and experience needs.
Align the product roadmap with Business objectives, transformation priorities, and business value outcomes.
Support strategic decision-making for modernising the Content Management landscape.
Roadmap Ownership & Transformation Delivery
Own and drive roadmap execution for Content Management transformation workstreams.
Lead product ownership activities for headless migration, central asset storage enablement, and Legacy CMS sunset.
Ensure roadmap execution is aligned with agreed tertial plans, OKRs, and delivery priorities.
Identify dependencies, risks, and constraints that may impact product delivery and work with stakeholders to manage them.
Backlog Management & Agile Delivery
Own, refine, and prioritise the product backlog to maximise business and user value.
Translate business needs into clear epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritised increments.
Collaborate with engineering, data, and product specialist teams through Agile ceremonies and planning cycles.
Ensure delivery remains outcome-focused and supports the broader managed service objectives.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
Act as the key bridge between business stakeholders, product leadership, engineering, data teams, market teams, and cross-functional partners.
Facilitate alignment across business , market teams, and other stakeholders as required by roadmap priorities.
Communicate roadmap direction, prioritisation decisions, trade-offs, progress, and business impact clearly and transparently.
Build strong stakeholder relationships and ensure expectations are actively managed.
Content Modelling & Platform Ownership
Drive content modelling decisions that support scalable, reusable, and headless content structures.
Support the evolution of CMS and DAM platform capabilities to enable efficient content operations.
Ensure product capabilities support content co-workers and market-facing use cases.
Partner with Product Specialists to enable adoption of new headless ways of working.
Change Management & Adoption
Lead change management activities linked to Content Management transformation initiatives.
Support transition from legacy ways of working to modern headless content operations.
Ensure product changes are understood, adopted, and embedded across relevant teams and markets.
Help maintain continuity of domain knowledge across delivery cycles.
Skill Requirements
Senior/Expert-level experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in digital product environments.
Strong experience with headless content strategy and content modelling.
Experience owning product roadmaps and managing backlogs in Agile delivery environments.
Strong stakeholder management skills across business, product, engineering, data, and market-facing teams.
Experience supporting digital transformation and change management initiatives.
Understanding of CMS and Digital Asset Management platform capabilities.
Ability to work in an outcome-based delivery model with clear accountability for product value.
Business-level English communication skills.
Other Requirements
Experience with large-scale CMS/DAM transformation programmes.
Knowledge of content lifecycle management, omnichannel content delivery, and market rollout models.
Experience with AI-enabled or data-driven content capabilities such as content insights, image classification, summarisation, or moderation workflows.
Familiarity with cloud-based product delivery and modern API-led architectures.
Experience working with global stakeholders while operating primarily in CET hours.
