Monsson Energy is expanding its Swedish operations and is looking for a Project Manager with a background in electrical engineering and experience from the Swedish market. You will take an important role in delivering energy projects in Sweden, with a key focus on Battery Energy Storage Systems, BESS.
This is an opportunity for you who enjoy combining project management, technology and collaboration, and who want to work in an international company where you can have a real impact.
Monsson Energy is part of the international Monsson Group, which for more than two decades has been active within wind power, solar energy and energy storage. Today, the group consists of approximately 500 employees with extensive technical expertise across the energy sector.
In Sweden, a key focus is the continued development of large-scale battery energy storage. Monsson is already involved in projects on the Swedish market and sees further opportunities within BESS, data centres and related energy infrastructure.
At Monsson Energy, you will join an entrepreneurial environment with short decision-making processes and plenty of opportunities to influence. At the same time, you will have the expertise and resources of an international organisation behind you, including an engineering team of around 50 engineers in Romania.
Monsson Energy is in an exciting growth phase in Sweden. This means you will join at a stage where your experience, technical expertise and ideas can have a real impact on how the Swedish business develops.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning and delivering technical projects on the Swedish market. You will work across BESS and other energy projects, ensuring successful delivery in terms of technical requirements, quality, budget and schedule.
You will follow projects through different phases, from planning and engineering to execution, commissioning and handover.
An important part of your role will be connecting Monsson’s international engineering expertise with the Swedish market. You will work closely with customers, municipalities, private-sector companies, suppliers, subcontractors and other local stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing projects with responsibility for schedule, budget, quality and delivery
- Acting as a key technical interface between Monsson’s international engineering teams and suppliers, subcontractors and other technical specialists in Sweden
- Reviewing technical documentation and ensuring that solutions meet relevant Swedish requirements and standards
- Working with technical solutions related to low and medium-voltage electrical installations
- Supporting procurement, supplier discussions and technical decisions throughout the projects
- Acting as Monsson’s point of contact for customers, municipalities, private-sector companies and other stakeholders in Sweden
- Monitoring project progress and maintaining clear communication between relevant stakeholders throughout the project
- Providing technical expertise and support during the sales phase of new projects
You will have a high level of responsibility and independence while having access to technical expertise and support from Monsson’s wider international organisation. You will also work closely with external engineering consultants and specialists in Sweden.
- Have a university degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Automation or a related technical field
- Have at least five years of experience in project management or project coordination, including a minimum of two years within electrical installation or infrastructure projects
- Have experience managing technical projects on the Swedish market and a good understanding of Swedish requirements, regulations and ways of working
- Have a good understanding of low and medium-voltage electrical installations and the ability to interpret relevant technical documentation
- Are comfortable working with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and other stakeholders in technical projects
- Are fluent in Swedish and have a high level of English, both written and spoken
- Hold a valid driving licence and are able to travel when required
Experience within BESS, renewable energy, power systems or other areas of energy infrastructure is a plus, as is experience from technical projects in other Nordic countries.
We also value knowledge of relevant IEC/EN standards and Swedish electrical regulations. Experience with tools such as MS Project, AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN, or a project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2, is beneficial but not required.
Beyond your technical experience, we value who you are as a person. We believe you enjoy taking ownership, moving things forward and finding solutions when challenges arise. You are structured in your way of working, while remaining curious and open to new perspectives.
Building strong relationships comes naturally to you. You communicate with confidence and are comfortable working with people from different backgrounds and areas of expertise, from engineers and technical specialists to customers, municipalities and business partners.
You enjoy being part of an international environment where collaboration, knowledge sharing and different perspectives are part of everyday work. At the same time, you are comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for your own projects.
As the first Project Manager for Monsson Energy in Sweden, you will have a unique opportunity to join at an early stage and play an important role in shaping how projects are delivered on the Swedish market.
While you will have a high level of ownership locally, you will not be building from scratch. You will have the support of Monsson’s established international organisation and a strong engineering team with extensive technical expertise behind you.
This combination gives you the opportunity to make a real impact, influence ways of working and grow alongside the Swedish business.
Monsson has clear ambitions to continue expanding in Sweden. For the right person, this also means strong opportunities to develop professionally, take on broader responsibilities and advance within the organisation as the business grows.
This position is initially a consultant assignment where you will be employed by Tech Talents and work full-time with Monsson Energy. The long-term intention is for you to transition into direct employment with Monsson Energy.
