The UX/UI Web Designer & CRO Specialist focuses on building wireframes for websites and landing pages based on client input and competitor research as well as crafting visually compelling designs based on those wireframes or on provided wireframes from management. The successful candidate will also contribute across multiple stages of the web design process, ensuring seamless user interfaces, excellent copywriting, and effective conversion strategies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Competitor research and understanding client’s business
- Study client input and perform competitor research to understand the client’s business.
- Use the accumulated information to further build copy and design assets as required.
Copywriting
- Understand the client tone of communication for copywriting.
- Study the target audience to understand the pain points and client persona to be leveraged in the copy.
- Build compelling and persuasive sales copy to be used on websites, landing pages and other assets.
- Follow copywriting guidelines and SOPs provided by the agency
- Constantly improve copywriting skills through trainings, workshops and individual research.
Wireframing
- Build wireframes for websites, landing pages and other assets based on client input, competitor research and existing templates & SOPs
- Collect feedback on the wireframes from client, account managers and project managers and apply it accordingly in a timely manner.
- Build wireframe templates to be reused for future projects.
- Create SOPs for the wireframing process based on accumulated knowledge and best practices.
- Follow wireframing SOPs and comply with guidelines to maintain quality and consistency.
Graphic Design
- Design websites, landing pages and other assets based on wireframes
- Design branding assets such as logos, business cards, letterheads, envelopes, etc.
- Collect feedback on the design from client, account managers and project managers and apply it accordingly in a timely manner.
- Build design templates to be reused for future projects.
- Create SOPs for the graphic design process based on accumulated knowledge and best practices.
- Follow graphic design SOPs and comply with guidelines to maintain quality and consistency.
- Create and execute user testing plans to assess the effectiveness of your designs.
- Interpret feedback and make design iterations to ensure a high level of user satisfaction.
User Experience and Conversion Rate Optimization:
- Design compelling copies and visual elements that engage users and lead to conversion.
- Implement A/B testing to refine user experience and increase conversion rates.
- Analyze test results, make data-driven decisions, and continuously improve website and landing page elements.
- Optimize CTAs, form fields, and overall page layouts to reduce bounce rates and enhance user satisfaction.
Collaboration and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices in UX, UI and web Design.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to align on project requirements and timelines.
- Engage with developers to ensure the technical feasibility of UI designs and to facilitate a smooth handoff between design and development stages.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Advertising, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong copywriting skills
- Strong experience with design software used for wireframing and web design (Figma, Photoshop, Moqups, etc.).
- Strong understanding of UI and UX and graphic design principles, A/B testing, and data analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards project completion.
Performance Expectations:
- User Engagement Metrics on Newly Designed Interfaces: How engaging the user interface is in terms of user interaction, clicks, and time spent on a page, reflecting OMD’s "Results Driven" quality.
- Turnaround Time for Design Iterations: Measures the speed and efficiency with which design iterations are completed, aligned with OMD’s "Responsive" and "Proactive" qualities.
- Quality of Design as Measured by User Testing and Feedback: Collect and analyze user feedback to assess the effectiveness of the design, embodying OMD’s "Thorough" quality.
