As Head of Transportation & Customs, you will take end-to-end responsibility for the flow of goods from factory to distribution centre and onwards to our sales channels. You will lead and develop inbound and outbound logistics, transportation networks and customs operations, creating reliable, scalable, efficient and more sustainable flows.
This role combines strategic direction, commercial ownership and operational delivery. You will develop the function and its people, own the budget and ensure that transportation and customs contribute to the holistic ONE Lindex perspective. Working with internal stakeholders and external partners, you will turn business needs and market requirements into solutions that strengthen the customer experience and capital efficiency.
- Own the end-to-end flow of goods from factory to distribution centre and sales channels.
- Lead, develop and optimise inbound and outbound transportation and distribution solutions.
- Design transportation networks and delivery options that meet market and customer requirements.
- Secure accurate lead times and reliable, scalable and cost-efficient delivery performance.
- Lead the customs agenda, ensuring effective compliance, handling and capital efficiency.
- Build long-term relationships with our strategic partners.
- Lead negotiations, commercial performance management and continuous improvement.
- Lead change, create clarity, make decisions and delegate accountability effectively.
- Lead and develop the department, its people and business performance, including budget and annual objectives.
- A university degree of at least three years, preferably in logistics or supply chain, or equivalent competence gained through experience.
- Extensive logistics and supply-chain experience, with deep knowledge of road transportation, inbound, outbound, distribution and customs.
- Experience designing and optimising complex, customer-specific transportation solutions.
- Proven leadership experience with responsibility for people, business performance and budget.
- Strong commercial judgement and a track record of negotiating with and managing multiple external and strategic partners.
- Experience from retail, sales or another customer-facing environment is an advantage.
- Experience of and large dedicated customer operations is highly desirable, as is an understanding of ocean and air freight.
