- Identify requirements for new features and propose appropriate designs and solutions
- Implement features using suitable programming languages
- Take ownership of delivering features and improvements that solve specific business problems
- Strong programming skills and system design capabilities
- Professional experience writing code in Scala, Java, C++, or similar languages
- Professional experience with Spark or Flink
- Ability to take ownership of tasks, identify requirements, prioritize, and progress with limited input
- Fluent English communication skills, effective listening, and clear messaging
- Experience in cross-team collaboration and communication
- Experience in data engineering within large and complex domains
- Experience designing and implementing APIs and REST services
- Experience with frameworks such as Akka, Play (Scala), Spring
- Familiarity with GIS, geographical data, and related toolkits like JTS, ArcGIS, QGIS, OpenJump
