Avalanche Studios Group are looking for a skilled Senior QA Engineer for our successful title theHunter: Call of the Wild.
As Senior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the holistic quality of a robust, live title, maintaining and executing test passes, investigating complex and confounding issues, and coordinating with developers across all disciplines to ensure that maintain our quality targets with every release.
The role is in our Live Operations QA, which focuses on delivering the entire game on time and at quality to all the various folks who depend on it.
We need a passionate and dynamic team member, whose attitude is backed up by their experience in QA helping to create great quality games, having worked as an experienced QA Engineer on at least one released project.
What you'll do
Collaborating with Production to ensure satisfactory coverage and risk management across an entire release cycle.
Investigating, triaging, prioritizing, and managing bugs.
Planning and executing regression testing and release readiness testing.
Coordinating across disciplines and teams to drive quality results.
Who you are
5+ years experience in Video Games Quality Assurance (preferable experience from shipping AA or AAA games).
Experience from working as embedded QA within a development team.
Excellent communication skills – must possess excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Knowledge of bug writing and bug tracking software.
Experience with testing tools and live product(s) with a frequent release cycle.
Console & PC testing experience.
Desired qualifications
Able to define QA strategy, approach and execution.
Passion for games, the industry and next-generation technology across multiple platforms.
Able to build a detailed test plan that is flexible with ongoing changes in features and verifies builds for full production testing.

The Stockholm location
Our Stockholm office is situated in Södermalm, the beating heart of the city’s game industry. It’s a physical representation of our games – the lush vegetation of Just Cause and theHunter: Call of the Wild meets corroded metal straight out of Mad Max. Our hybrid model requires you to be in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays to foster collaboration and creativity.
