We are looking for a senior Electrical System Architect to take a key role in developing next-generation electrical systems within automotive powertrain solutions.
This is a technical architect role focused on low voltage systems and hardware architecture – not project management.
You will work at the forefront of innovation, contributing to the development of scalable and robust electrical architectures for hybrid and fully electric vehicles.
As Electrical System Architect, you will be responsible for defining and developing the electrical system architecture across complex vehicle systems.
You will work closely with hardware, software, and system teams to ensure seamless integration across ECUs, communication networks, and electrical components.
The role is hands-on and technical, with a focus on:
Define and develop electrical system architecture for low voltage automotive systems
Drive system design across ECUs, communication networks, and hardware components
Translate and break down system and customer requirements into technical solutions
Ensure scalability, performance, and robustness of electrical systems
Work closely with hardware developers, software teams, and system specialists
Handle technical challenges such as:
EMC
signal integrity
load balancing
network topology
Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 26262 and cybersecurity requirements
Support industrialization from concept to production
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or similar

ECUs
communication protocols (CAN, LIN, etc.)
electrical system integration
Experience with:
AUTOSAR
ISO 26262
EMC considerations
Experience working cross-functionally with hardware and software teams
This is a technical architect role – not a project manager position
Strong hands-on hardware and system design experience is required
Focus is on low voltage electrical systems, not high-level program management
Experience from Volvo Cars, Volvo Group or Geely
Experience within electrified powertrain systems (inverters, EDUs, etc.)
Background in power electronics
