At Qred, we’re building the world's best bank for small businesses. Since launching 11 years ago, we’ve grown from startup to profitable fintech scale-up, now generating over 1 billion SEK in annual revenue and supporting 50,000+ entrepreneurs across Northern Europe. We combine smart technology, real data, and human judgment to make financing simple, fast, and fair. With bold growth plans and strong momentum across multiple markets, we’re now looking for a Data Engineer for the next phase of growth.
As a Data Engineer, you will own the end-to-end design and execution of our data architecture, directly impacting how our financial systems scale. This mission offers a clear view of data flows across the organization, giving you the autonomy to bridge the gap between technical infrastructure and real-world business impact.
Design and optimize robust ETL/ELT pipelines to automate high-quality data integration from diverse financial sources.
Translate complex business requirements into clean, performant, and analytics-ready data models within our warehouse.
Implement robust data governance standards, including testing frameworks, data cataloging, and clear data lineage.
Partner with analysts, engineers, and business leaders to align data delivery with critical commercial goals.
Deploy scalable infrastructure updates using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools within our cloud environment.
We are looking for a structured, proactive professional who thrives on driving technical alignment and building scalable frameworks. You take initiative to champion engineering best practices, understanding that data reliability and clear cross-functional communication are vital to our velocity.
Several years of professional experience in data engineering, building and optimizing production-grade data pipelines.
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with deep experience in schema design and dimensional modeling.
Hands-on experience with modern data warehousing tools, ideally Redshift, and cloud platforms like AWS.
Experience with modern analytics engineering workflows, such as dbt, alongside Git and data quality monitoring frameworks.
Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
