Some people see barriers. You see routes forward.
When others say something is impossible, you start thinking about how it might work after all.
When others talk about the need for change, you’ve already started sketching out a plan to make it happen. Your default mindset isn’t “it can’t be done”. It’s “how do we do it?”.
Project 1882 is looking for a Campaign Strategist who wants to help change the lives of millions of animals. Someone who can identify opportunities that others miss, find ways forward when doors seem closed, and develop strategies that lead to real change.
You don’t need to think about the Roman Empire several times a week. There are others at Project 1882 who do that. But it doesn’t hurt to think in terms of battlefield strategy every now and then. Where is the opportunity? Which alliance is missing? Which path has no one tried yet? Which move can bring about the greatest change for the most animals?
In this role, you’ll be responsible for identifying how Project 1882 can make the biggest difference within our areas of work, developing strategies to achieve this, and strengthening the organisation’s advocacy work. You’ll work closely with our campaign specialists and other colleagues to ensure that ideas become reality and that our campaigns, partnerships and initiatives lead to tangible results for animals.
We’re looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with a strong bias for action. You don’t wait for the perfect conditions. If the tool isn’t there, you build it. If the path isn’t there, you find a new one. If no one else has tackled the problem, you see it as an opportunity rather than an obstacle.
You are driven by finding new ways forward and bringing about change where it is needed most. You dare to think outside the box and have the perseverance to keep moving forward even when change seems a long way off.
For you, simply highlighting problems is not enough. You want to solve them. For you, ‘impossible’ is rarely the end of the discussion. It is the start of the strategy.

Experience of leading and developing campaigns aimed at shaping public opinion and influencing society.
