At Smart High Tech, we are transforming advanced materials into industrial reality. Our graphene-based technology enables the next generation of AI systems, electronics, and data centres - where performance is fundamentally limited by thermal management.
We are now entering a decisive phase: from R&D to scalable, high-volume production.
We are looking for a Production Engineer who will take ownership of how our products are industrialised - ensuring they can be produced reliably, efficiently, and at scale.
You are the technical bridge between R&D and production.
Your mission is to:
Translate product designs into robust, scalable manufacturing processes
Establish the technical foundation for production
Continuously improve performance, yield, and efficiency
This role directly impacts our ability to scale, qualify with customers, and succeed commercially.
Act as the primary technical interface between R&D and production
Contribute to design reviews with a strong DFM (Design for Manufacturability) perspective
Lead the introduction of new products into production (NPI)
Coordinate validation, qualification, and first article inspections
Design and implement production lines, assembly processes, tooling, and test setups
Define process parameters, work instructions, and SOPs
Ensure processes are fully embedded before handover to operations
Define requirements for data capture, traceability, and process modelling
Translate production needs into structured MES specifications
Validate that systems reflect real processes and support improvement
Analyse process data to identify losses and improvement opportunities
Drive reductions in cycle time, scrap, and variability
Apply structured problem solving (8D, A3) and lean principles
Work closely with Production to implement sustainable improvements
Specify, evaluate, and select new production equipment
Lead FAT and SAT to ensure performance and functionality
Manage engineering changes and production impact
Collaborate with Maintenance to ensure equipment readiness and reliability
You will work cross-functionally with:
You combine engineering depth with execution capability.
Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering
Proven experience in production or manufacturing engineering
Track record of taking products from development into series production
Strong experience in:
Process validation & documentation
FAT/SAT
Engineering change management
Lean manufacturing & structured problem solving
Hands-on, analytical, and structured
A natural connector between engineering and operations
This is a role for someone who wants to build, not maintain.
You will:
Play a central role in taking a deep-tech innovation to industrial scale
Shape how production is designed, structured, and optimised
Work in a high-impact environment where your decisions matter
Collaborate with leading experts across R&D, production, and international teams
Be part of a company solving real, global challenges in AI and electronics
Within 6–12 months, you have:
Successfully industrialised new products into stable production
Established robust and scalable production processes
Improved yield, throughput, and process capability
Built a strong technical foundation for continued scale
