Change rarely begins with more people agreeing. Change begins when people move from caring to actually taking action.
That’s where you come in, as a key driving force in our campaign work.
Project 1882 is a grassroots movement and organisation that has been turning commitment into change for animals since 1882. We are currently looking for two Campaign Specialists who want to mobilise people, generate engagement and contribute to campaigns that lead to tangible change for millions of animals.
You have a clear ‘do-it-yourself’ mindset. If something is missing, you build it. If no one else seizes the opportunity, you act. You don’t wait for momentum; you help create it.
Working alongside our campaign strategist and fellow campaigners, you'll maximise the impact of our campaigns, mobilise people and increase the pressure on companies and decision-makers to change the lives of millions of animals.
Common to both roles is the task of building momentum in our campaigns, turning ideas into actions and helping to ensure our causes are seen, heard and cannot be ignored. Whichever specialism you choose, you will play a vital part in building engagement, shaping public opinion and driving change.
You will be part of an ambitious campaign programme where we test new ideas, develop our working methods and run campaigns that create change for the animals that are most numerous and suffer the most.
Below, you can read more about the two different specialisations and the responsibilities unique to each role.
In this role, you’ll oversee our campaigns and ensure that ideas and strategies are translated into well-planned and effective activities. You’ll take the work from strategy to action by creating structure, coordinating efforts and ensuring that activities are carried out to a high standard and at the right time. With clear plans, smart working methods and a good overview, you’ll manage many parallel processes and ensure that the work moves forward. Together with the campaign strategist and other colleagues, you’ll drive the campaigns towards set goals. You will monitor results, identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to the organisation’s continuous development. You combine structure with drive, take the initiative and thrive in a fast-paced environment where numerous activities need to be coordinated.
Have experience of project management, coordination and follow-up, having ensured that goals have been achieved.
Can translate visions and strategic objectives into concrete plans, activities and results.
Are proactive, organised and motivated by managing many different processes simultaneously in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Understand campaign work and how different activities interact to create an impact.
Have a good knowledge of social media and other digital methods for mobilisation.
Have a very good command of spoken and written English. Swedish is an advantage but not required. Additional language skills are highly valued.
Experience in advocacy, campaigning and public affairs.
Knowledge of fundraising.
Experience from within the animal rights movement, either as an employee or a volunteer.
