About the role:
As a Supplier Management Specialist you will support positive Supplier engagement with Westinghouse though application of manufacturing operations theory, SIOP and Materials Management, by applying and imparting these principles to the supply base.
You will report to the Senior Manager Supplier Manufacturing Operations and be located at Västerås, Sweden.
Model of work: hybrid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cocreate positive relationships with Suppliers
- Promote proactive habits with Suppliers
- Train and educate Suppliers in the application of lean / six sigma principles towards common goals
- Lead the Supplier SIOP process, establishing capacity plans against current demand and understanding raw material requirements
- Collaborate with suppliers on materials and inventory management
- Analyze logistics and operations with an eye for optimization
- Maintain Customer Relationships: build working-level relationships with other Teams that impact supplier processes: Manufacturing, Assembly, Production, Inspection, and Shipping. Use these relationships to improve services, improve processes, and collect our needs across GSCS, including SPE.
- Improve Supplier Performance: completing the Supplier Evaluation Process through resources; monitor and address negative trends
- Add value through Cost-Out / Cost-Avoidance by using SME and OpEx Expertise
- Metrics Accountability: Safety & EHS, OTD, Quality, Cost, Cost Clearance, Cost Out, Supplier Assessment cycle, SIOP process adherence
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply chain or Engineering or equivalent Degree
- Minimum 5 years in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Program Management, or Materials Management with demonstrated experience managing Suppliers and Supply Chains.
- One of the following: Certified Six-Sigma Green Belt, Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Production Inventory Management (CPIM), or equivalent experience
- Subject Matter Export level in one or more of the following areas: Supply Chain Design, Supplier Management, and Program Management. Additionally, expertise in SIOP, Inventory, Materials Management, Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing, and Quality Systems.
- Collaborative style, team management and development, teaching and training, technical knowledge.
