Key responsibilities:
Strategy & Financials:
- Further develop and execute the European segment sales strategy in alignment with the global segment goals and translating these into regional strategies and objectives.
- Deliver sustained and profitable growth for our Single-Family Offices business in Europe and achieve our annual budgeted revenue commitments.
- Drive the momentum of Mercer’s regional investment pipeline across
- Responsible for best practice business development activities including client identification, opportunity origination, solution design and regulatory compliance.
- Successfully execute on a direct pipeline of sales activity.
- Leverage the intersections across Marsh to accelerate commercial activity.
People & Leadership
- Support the development of commercial talent across the region and lead recruitment for new commercial talent in this segment.
- Identify, highlight and engage local teams to support product/solutions improvement.
- Continue to build a diverse workforce and inclusive culture across our business.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders, including local Wealth, Investment, Consulting and Sales leaders across Europe.
Key requirements & attributes:
- Senior sales professional with a demonstrable track record of developing strong commercial relationships with Single-Family Offices across Europe.
- Well-connected and respected leader with a C-level contact list that can be used to influence positive sales outcomes.
- Deep understanding of investors client needs, investment objectives and buying processes.
- Ability to inspire with vision and passion with proven leadership experience, including building high performing teams.
- Clear understanding of the underlying investment, operational and regulatory issues that determine institutional clients’ investment and business decision-making.
- Commercial awareness and confidence to effectively influence other teams and specialist groups to achieve positive business outcomes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex issues.
- People and team leadership qualities including the ability to lead with influence, in the absence of formal authority.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work within a team environment and operate as a mentor to junior colleagues; share ideas and present persuasive arguments.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in finance, economics or other business-related areas.
- At least 10 years’ total experience – with a clear track record of directly developing new business as well as leading teams that have delivered superior sales results.
