Jeppesen ForeFlight is looking for a motivated software engineer to join our development team. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining our backend systems used to support our customers.

Software Application Developer – Communicative Hacker Wanted!
Are you someone who finds joy in working with computers, enjoys solving problems creatively, and thrives in a collaborative environment? We are looking for a communicative hacker — a developer who not only has solid foundational knowledge but also a genuine curiosity and eagerness to learn more.
About the Role:
You will be part of a dynamic team focused primarily on backend development, working with modern technologies such as containers, Kubernetes, Java, Python, Unix, and CI/CD pipelines. While prior experience in these areas is a plus, what matters most is your confidence in your fundamentals and your willingness to tackle new challenges head-on. You should be comfortable asking questions and collaborating with teammates to grow your skills and contribute effectively.
What We’re Looking For:
- A passion for working with computers and software development
- Basic to intermediate knowledge in backend technologies (Java, Python, Unix)
- Familiarity or interest in containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience or willingness to learn about pipelines and automation
- Confidence in your ability to learn new technologies and solve problems independently
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to ask for help and share knowledge with others
Bonus:
- Experience teaching or sharing new skills with the team is a plus, but not required.
