At Ahlstrom, people make the difference. We are looking for a Payroll Specialist who enjoys combining payroll expertise, service, and continuous improvement in an HR environment.
You will join a collaborative team supporting our operations in Sweden and play a key role in ensuring accurate payroll delivery, regulatory compliance, and a great employee experience. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with managers and employees while contributing to the development and harmonization of payroll and supporting in the HR processes to be implemented.
As Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process for both blue-collar and white-collar employees.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing monthly payroll processes and ensuring accurate and timely salary payments
- Maintaining employee master data and payroll records
- Administration of pensions, insurances, benefits, and statutory reporting
- Supporting managers and employees with payroll-related questions
- Advising on collective agreements, absence management, vacation, working time, and payroll regulations
- Preparing payroll reports and HR-related statistics
- Working with payroll system administration and continuous process improvements
- Participating in projects related to payroll and other for HR valuable projects
- Collaborating with Payroll colleagues, managers, finance, and external partners to ensure efficient payroll delivery
- Report to HR Manager at the Jönköping plant
We believe you are a service-minded and structured payroll professional who enjoys working independently while building strong relationships.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Several years of experience working with Swedish payroll prefarbly in an industry where shift shedules are present.
- Good knowledge of Swedish payroll legislation, labor law, taxes, pensions, and collective agreements
- Experience working in AGDA PS or a similar payroll system
- Experience of payroll reporting and payroll controls
- Strong analytical skills and a high attention to detail
- The ability to explain complex payroll matters in a clear and practical way
- A continuous improvement mindset and interest in developing processes and systems
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
