Summary:
We’re looking for a Software Architect to take ownership of the end-to-end architecture of our next-generation automotive infotainment platform. You’ll operate at the intersection of hardware, Linux, and Android, ensuring technical coherence, driving key decisions, and enabling teams to move fast with clarity.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the overall software architecture for an advanced automotive infotainment ECU.
- Ensure seamless integration across hardware abstraction layers, Linux kernel components, and Android/AOSP platform services.
- Lead technical discussions with hardware, platform, system, and validation teams to resolve dependencies and align design decisions.
- Run architectural reviews and enforce industry and automotive compliance standards.
- Translate customer requirements and system constraints into a scalable, maintainable architecture.
Steer Android OS upgrade programs (e.g., Android 12- Android 14), defining migration strategy, risk areas, and compatibility paths.
- Promote architectural excellence through documentation, knowledge sharing, and mentoring of development teams.
Key Qualifications
- Solid experience as a Software Architect or Lead Engineer in embedded or automotive software.
- Strong expertise in Android/AOSP internals, system services, HAL layers, and Linux kernel behavior.
- Deep understanding of automotive HW interfaces (GMSL, Ethernet, FPD-Link, CAN).
- Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and C/C++; Python experience is a plus for automation/tooling.
- Background in system integration, CI/CD workflows, and complex multi-vendor delivery environments.
- Hands-on experience leading Android OS upgrade or migration efforts.
- Strong communicator who can influence architectural direction across diverse technical teams.
