Being part of the development of new nuclear power in Sweden is a unique opportunity – and a central part of the future sustainable energy supply.
Videberg Kraft is a project company with the mission to develop, construct, and operate new nuclear power in Sweden. The company is currently being built from the ground up, where strong owner capability, governance, system integration, and licensing readiness are critical to success.
We are now looking for a Lead Engineer – Turbine Systems who will take a key technical leadership role within Videberg Kraft’s owner and future licensee organisation. The role will focus on establishing technical clarity, integration, and assurance for turbine island systems and their interfaces to the wider plant.
As a Lead Engineer – Turbine Systems, you will act as a technical authority on the owner side, ensuring that the turbine island design, delivery, and integration meet owner requirements, regulatory expectations, and the overall plant design intent.
You will be responsible for driving technical alignment, system integration, and design maturity across suppliers and internal functions. A central aspect of the role is to ensure that turbine systems are properly defined, specified, reviewed, and verified in line with the licensing basis and overall plant architecture.
You will play a key role in managing technical interfaces between turbine island, reactor island, electrical systems, and balance-of-plant systems—ensuring consistency, traceability, and readiness for key design reviews and programme milestones.

Ensure alignment with safety classification, requirements engineering and system integration principles
Review and challenge supplier designs; ensure compliance with technical specifications, standards and licensing requirements
Secure that verification, validation and acceptance criteria are defined and implemented for turbine systems
Ensure traceability of requirements and design decisions to support licensing, handover and long-term operations
Work closely with Engineering, Safety/Regulatory, Procurement/Contract Management, Quality and Commissioning teams
Support establishment of owner-side design authority and technical governance model
Contribute to design reviews, technical decision forums and change management processes
Support supplier management through fact-based technical evaluation and structured communication
Ensure that interfaces, assumptions and system boundaries are clearly defined and managed
Has solid experience as Lead Engineer, System Engineer, or technical specialist within turbine systems, power generation or similar complex industrial environments
Has strong understanding of system engineering, design processes and technical integration
Is experienced in working in regulated environments (nuclear is a strong merit)
Has the ability to manage technical interfaces across disciplines and organisations
Is comfortable working on the owner / client side, reviewing and challenging suppliers
Has strong analytical capability and takes a structured, fact-based approach to technical decisions
Communicates fluently in both Swedish and English
A key technical leadership role in one of Sweden’s most important industrial initiatives
The opportunity to build owner-side engineering capability and design authority from the ground up
Close collaboration with leading engineering experts, suppliers and strategic partners
A high-impact environment where technical clarity, structure and quality are critical to success
Long-term opportunities to grow into broader technical leadership or system integration roles
