Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
- Minimum 10 years of experience supervising steel/mechanical construction activities within the oil & gas industry.
- Degree in Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s level preferred).
- Strong understanding of pipeline construction and field execution processes.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, site teams, and construction resources.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Knowledge of construction quality standards, inspection processes, and HSE requirements.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to address site technical challenges.
- Strong planning, reporting, and progress monitoring capabilities.
- Proficiency in English; additional project-specific languages are an advantage.
Tasks:
- Lead and oversee steel and mechanical construction activities on site, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
- Coordinate daily work activities, workforce allocation, equipment, and materials to meet project targets.
- Monitor pipeline-related construction operations, including installation, welding support activities, testing, and completion works.
- Ensure site activities follow approved drawings, project specifications, quality requirements, and schedules.
- Support construction teams and subcontractors with technical guidance and clarification of work requirements.
- Verify availability and suitability of materials, tools, and documentation before work execution.
- Promote safe working practices and compliance with environmental and site safety procedures.
- Inspect completed works, identify deviations, and support corrective actions where required.
- Track installed quantities, productivity, manpower usage, and overall work progress.
- Assist with the preparation of progress updates and construction performance reports.
- Coordinate mechanical completion activities and ensure outstanding items are resolved.
- Organize work areas to improve efficiency, safety, and site coordination.
