About the role
You will be a part of the IAM & Data Distribution group, where you will take on a key role in managing and evolving Kafka, one of Tele2's strategic platforms. We enable the seamless and secure flow of data between all our critical systems. With a growing focus on data as the primary enabler for AI and advanced analytics, you will be at the center of innovation, helping us take our Kafka service to the next level.
This is a role truly with the DevOps mindset in its foundation. You will help the organization in how to federate data, making it accessible in various forms for our many stakeholders and above all always with the bigger picture in mind – Enabling Tele2 to become automated & data-driven.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Develop, maintain, and enhance our strategic Kafka platform.
- Support, improve & be part of the governance structure so everyone follows the same guidelines
- Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring and alerting to ensure service reliability and performance.
- Collaborate closely with various development teams and stakeholders to support their data integration needs.
- Act as a key player in the evolution of our data distribution services, driving improvements and adopting new technologies & ways of thinking.
- Embrace a true DevOps mindset, taking full ownership of the service from code to production.

- Solid experience in software development (e.g., Java, Python & Go are preferable but not mandatory).
- A strong interest in data streaming, event-driven architecture, and technologies like Kafka (direct Kafka experience is a plus, but not a requirement).
- A good understanding of system integrations and how data flows between applications.
- A curious mindset with a passion for learning and tackling new challenges.
- A DevOps mindset, with an appreciation for automation, monitoring, and the operational aspects of a service.
